What to Expect at Your First Golf Lesson
Not sure what your first indoor golf lesson in Virginia Beach will actually look like? Here's a clear, step-by-step walkthrough so there are no surprises.
Step 1: Arrive and Get Comfortable
You'll walk into a clean, private indoor studio at The Back Nine Golf, 2476 Nimmo Parkway, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. There's no check-in line and no range anxiety, just Joe Allen walking you through the setup and answering any questions before you pick up a club.
Step 2: Baseline Swing Assessment
You'll hit a few shots while the Full Swing simulator cameras capture your swing from multiple angles. This part is purely diagnostic, not graded, so there's no pressure to perform. It simply gives Joe real information to work from.
Step 3: Personalized Coaching
Based on your baseline swings, Joe identifies your top one or two improvement areas and walks you through targeted drills with immediate, real-time feedback after every attempt.
Step 4: Leave With a Clear Plan
Every lesson wraps up with a quick review of what you worked on and exactly what to focus on practicing before your next session, so you always leave with direction, not just information.
What to Bring
Comfortable athletic clothes and sneakers are all you need. Clubs and balls are provided, though you're welcome to bring your own if you already own a set. If you're completely new to golf, our beginner lessons page covers what to expect long-term.
What It Costs
A full hour is $50, and a 30-minute introductory session is $30 if you'd like to try it out first. See our pricing page for more detail.
