About Joe Allen
Meet the instructor behind Indoor Golf Lessons in Virginia Beach, VA, a competitive golfer with a background built on discipline, attention to detail, and a straightforward approach to coaching.
A Career Built on Discipline
Joe Allen spent his career in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked as a firefighter and fire inspector before retiring. Those years shaped a coaching style built around discipline, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping people solve problems, qualities that carry directly into how he teaches golf.
An Active Competitive Golfer
Joe is an active competitive player carrying a 14 handicap who tests his own game in real tournament conditions. His playing background includes years of ongoing tour play in the Veteran Golfers Association, competing in the World Amateur Handicap Championship, playing in national events like the GOLFBUDDY Veterans Classic and National Retired Military Golf Classic, and testing his game in Virginia State Golf Association qualifiers.
Practices What He Teaches
By pressure-testing his own swing in competitive settings, Joe brings a practical, tested perspective to every lesson rather than teaching from theory alone. Lessons focus on the fundamentals and mental discipline needed to perform when it counts, whether you're a total beginner or working to lower a high handicap.
A Modern, No-Nonsense Approach
Every lesson uses Full Swing simulator technology to replace guesswork with real, real-time swing and ball data. Learn more about how the simulator technology works in each session.
